WHAT WE INSPECT AND WHY

A home inspection is a visual examination of the home's major structure, systems, and components that are visible and safely accessible. Buying a home is typically the biggest investment you will ever make, so it's important to get a home inspection because the inspector can find and document defects that may or may not be obvious to you as a prospective buyer.  Such defects can range from simple replacements or repairs to severe damage or safety and health concerns.

what we inspect systems components

  2. HVAC (heating, ventilation, and air conditioning)

  3. Basement, crawlspace, and structure

MEET YOUR INSPECTOR

VICTOR PAPPAS

I have been an award-winning general contractor and a hands-on home builder for over 30 yrs.

I still maintain my GC license but decided it was time to hang up my tool belt and do something less taxing.

I have always been interested in building science and architecture and staying abreast of current best practices, so home inspecting was a natural progression and allows me to utilize my many years of knowledge to benefit my clients. I'm a firm believer that the best inspectors know how to build it themselves.

I have built and sold hundreds of homes in North Carolina and Colorado so I understand the Real Estate closing transaction and strive to progress it.

Family is a big part of my life. I just recently became a grandfather and am enjoying it immensely.  Among other things, I also like to ski, bike, or hike with my wife and my dog.

Visual-Only Inspection

Imagine a home inspector with both hands tied behind the inspector's back.

According to the Home Inspection Standards of Practice, a home inspection is a non-invasive, visual examination of a house, performed for a fee, which is designed to identify observed material defects within specific components of that house.

The home inspector is essentially restricted in this way while performing a visual-only inspection, which is not invasive or technically exhaustive.
